Dunkley Lumber’s Carrot River sawmill received a visit from Saskatchewan’s Energy and Resources Minister on Friday.
Chris Beaudry toured the facility, a critical player in Saskatchewan’s forestry industry, and held discussions with senior officials from the company.
A release from the Province says Dunkley’s Carrot River facility is the largest sawmill in Saskatchewan, and the company employs over 400 people across the country, mainly in Western Canada.
In 2024, Dunkley invested $220 million into an expansion of the sawmill, increasing the facility’s capacity by 75 per cent.
