A 24-year-old man was arrested and faces a series of charges following a Saturday afternoon bear spray incident at the Midtown Mall in Saskatoon.
According to a Saskatoon Police Service news release, officers responded at about 3:15 p.m. on May 16th to a report of bear spray being deployed inside a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South. Police located two individuals who matched the suspect descriptions with one observed as attempting to conceal a can of bear spray in his pocket. The man attempted to flee, but was quickly arrested. He was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and obstruction.
