There was a collision at the Art Hauser Centre (A-H-C) in Prince Albert Thursday night – only this one happened in the parking lot, not inside the rink!
A news release from the Prince Albert Police Service says a three-vehicle occurred at about 6:20 p.m. on May 21. Officers went to the south parking lot at the A-H-C, adjacent to 6th Avenue East, and were able to determine that a white sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot when the driver lost control while attempting to turn and struck two parked vehicles. The driver was issued a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act for driving without due care and attention. The white sedan sustained significant front-end damage while the two parked vehicles also had substantial damage. All three vehicles were not drivable and had to be towed from the scene. On individual, who had been seated in the box of one of the parked vehicles at the time of the collision, sustained minor injuries and was assessed by Parkland Ambulance at the scene. No serious injuries were reported.
