The crashed car campaign involves a smashed vehicle being put next to a busy road or intersection.
The intent of the display is to remind drivers of the consequences to impaired driving.
Linda Van de Vorst, a representative of MADD Saskatoon, has her own experience with impaired drivers after losing her son, daughter-in-law, and 2 grand kids to one.
“We don’t want other families to deal with the same kind of grief and pain we experience, because somebody chose to drive impaired.
The display will move to 5 different location starting at Alice Turner Library facing Nelson Road, then the Corner of 51st and Warman Road, Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street, Valley Road near the landfill, and Voyageur Crescent by the University of Saskatchewan.
The display will be up between now and September 15th, and will be moved every 3 weeks.
