The City of Saskatoon is encouraging residents to report any potholes they see after a substantial increase in pothole numbers.

Mayor Cynthia Block explained, “So as we start to dry up here in the next 24 hours or so, hopefully we get to see a 24/7 crew out there making sure we get those potholes fixed as quickly as possible.”

Block pointed to the freeze-thaw cycle that took place this winter as one of the main causes of the increased pothole numbers. The Mayor added that Saskatoon’s recent rainy weather has made it difficult to send out crews to handle the potholes.

Pothole reports can be made through the city’s 24/7 customer care centre or online. Reports made online will allow you to pin point exactly where the pothole was found. In particular, the city is encouraging people to report any emergency potholes.
