Hyundai Hope on Wheels held a Handprint Ceremony on Wednesday to commemorate a $100,000 donation to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

The ceremony itself has children who have faced cancer place a hand print on a Hyundai vehicle. The donation to the hospital will be put towards pediatric oncology research.

Mark Loeppky, the dealer principal of the Saskatoon North and South Hyundai, says Hyundai Hope on Wheels launched in the USA in 1998 before adding it’s support for Canadian pediatric cancer care and research last year.

“What’s more about then just raising funds for the research, it’s about standing with the families. Really creating hope with the children who are facing and fighting cancer on a daily bases.”

Loeppky adds that Hyundai Hope on Wheels is one of the largest non-profit funders of pediatric cancer research in both the USA and Canada. The nonprofit’s mission is to help end childhood cancer.
