A 32-year-old man from Poundmaker First Nation was arrested last Friday on the Sweetgrass First Nation.

According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, Jonathan Semaganis had an outstanding warrant from the Cut Knife detachment. He was reported to be at a residence on the Sweetgrass First Nation with Battlefords RCMP receiving the report at about 2 p.m. on October 17. Shortly after, officers contained the scene and members of the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team were brought in to assist. Not long after that, a male and female exited the residence and were arrested. The adult female was later released without charge. No injuries were reported.
