Loon Lake RCMP is searching for 31-year-old Frederick Derocher following a report of a firearm being discharged outside of a residence on Island Lake First Nation on September 20th at 9 a.m.

Officers responded to the incident immediately where they saw the suspect leave the scene in a dark green GMC Yukon, possibly with a female passenger. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Derocher is being charged with one count of discharging a firearm while being reckless, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a weapon contrary to order.

He is also wanted on previous charges including robbery with a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. These charges are from an ongoing investigation from September of 2025.

Derocher is described as approximately 5’10” and 165 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Derocher’s whereabouts can call Loon Lake RCMP or report it to Crime Stoppers. Do not approach him.
