The forecast from Environment and Climate Change indicates a warm weekend to close out October.
Meteorologist Danielle Desjardins this weekend looks actually quite pleasant and well above normal for this time of year over the prairies. However, once a low-pressure system comes through on Monday, temperatures are expected to drop back down to the seasonal average in the single digits.
Desjardins says to expect a low-pressure system track across the prairies with the bulk of that precipitation falling in northern Alberta and northern Saskatchewan. Moving into next week, Saskatchewan residents are looking at highs in the high single digits, maybe approaching 10 degrees to start the week off. But beyond that there doesn’t seem to be any major system that’s going to give a lot of snow to southern Saskatchewan in the near future.
