Arson charges have been laid in that multiple vehicle fire from Tuesday night.

The Saskatoon Police Service says bystanders reported seeing vehicles on fire in the 1600 block of Idylwyld Drive North.

The call came in at 8:43 p.m. and Saskatoon Fire Department says first arriving crews found four vehicles fully involved in fire.

A 45-year-old man is in custody following a fire at the automotive business and has been charged arson. He will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday afternoon.

Fire officials initially reported that a used oil container melted and spilled onto the property.
