Both Saskatoon school boards are getting ready for possible job action by teachers. Members of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation have given their bargaining committee a job action mandate which could involve withdrawal of services from extracurricular activities or noon-hour supervision, rotating strikes, or a general strike. The Public School Board has issued a release saying they want families to be prepared should job action occur. The division says if job action is announced, it will share information with families as soon as possible. The Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools division says it has plans in place to address job action should it occur. It says the STF has committed to 48-hours notice of any job action. The division says it will give as much notice to families as possible.
