Starting November 1st, admission to the Saskatoon Zoo is by donation.
As the temperatures drop, zoo-goers can see how the different animals adapt to the cold. Arctic wolves, lynx and caribou are well adapted, while grizzly bears and prairie dogs go through a mild form of hibernation.
The small mammal house is always full of lemurs, meerkats, monkeys and porcupines.
The zoo is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the gift shop is open Thursday through Sunday.
