Saskatchewan will be home to Canada’s two biggest sports events in 2027! After the Canadian Football League announced last month that the City of Regina and the Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the 114th Grey Cup Game, Curling Canada’s C-E-O Nolan Thiessen (pictured) revealed Monday morning that Saskatoon and SaskTel Centre will be home to the 2027 Montana’s Brier – the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship!
The 2027 Brier will be held February 26-March 7. It’ll be the seventh time that Saskatoon has been home to the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship and the fifth time that SaskTel Centre will be the host venue – the last time being in 2012. The first Brier was held in 1927 in Toronto. The Ontario capital has been home to 14 Briers, the most of Canadian city. Calgary is next with eight Briers held in the Alberta centre, making Saskatoon the host of the third-most Canadian Men’s Curling Championships in the event’s history. The 2027 Brier will, once again, feature 18 teams. Tickets will go on sale in the spring of 2026.
