The City of Saskatoon invites anyone who wishes to, to pop by City Hall to view the Book of Remembrance. It will be on display until Friday in the lobby at City Hall but keep in mind City Hall is closed Tuesday.
The book was compiled by the Military Institute of Saskatoon which is an association of former and serving officers of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP.
The book contains names and biographical information honoring those from Saskatoon who gave their lives during the Second World War, the Korean War, Canada’s peacetime operations and in Afghanistan.
It’s a companion to the First World War book created in 2014, and is permanently housed at the City of Saskatoon Archives, with copies available at local libraries.
