On Sunday, Regina Police say they took a complaint from a man who said his iPad had been stolen and, because it had child pornography on it, the thief was demanding money so the man could get the device back.
He was arrested after showing police officers the child pornography that was contained in the extortion demands.
Regina police then arrested a suspect Monday when she allegedly showed up to collect the ransom being demanded.
Her cell phone was seized and the stolen iPad was recovered. A search warrant was also issued for a home in Regina. They seized a computer and many hard drives.
23 year old Deandrea Emmalee Moise or Regina has been charged with Extortion, Theft under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
36 year old Jeremy John McMillan of Regina has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Accessing Child Pornography.
