The Prince Albert RCMP have located and arrested 20-year-old Kalen Felix following multiple armed robberies.
Felix, from Sturgeon Lake First Nation, was wanted on 28 charges in relation to the robberies which took place on November 7.
On Friday, at 4:15 p.m., RCMP were told that Felix was seen driving a truck on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. After several failed traffic stops, the truck swerved at an RCMP officer who was on the side of the road setting up a tire deflation device. The officer ran into the ditch to avoid being hit by the truck, which nearly struck a parked police vehicle.
Then, a male and female got out of the truck while it was driving. The pair got into a nearby SUV and drove away, as did the truck.
The male and female later exited the SUV on Agency Road on Sturgeon Lake First Nation and were arrested. The SUV drove away. Officers identified the arrested man as Kalen Felix.
Prince Albert RCMP tracked down the SUV and arrested another male. He was in possession of ammunition.
Further investigation determined the truck was previously reported stolen in Emma Lake. Felix was dealt an additional 8 charges.
In addition, 23-year-old Alyssa Bear 36-year-old Ian Seewalker from Sturgeon Lake First Nation were arrested. The three appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
