Fresh snow is offering a beautiful backdrop to the BHP Enchanted Forest which opened to vehicle tours last weekend.
Proceeds from the light display go to the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
The Saskatoon Zoo Foundation raises funds for capital projects and improvements to the Saskatoon Zoo. Executive Director Dawn Woroniuk says, “Just in the past 15 years we have put in over 2 million dollars alone into the zoo. We’re working on the bears new home which will also lend a space to bring in some polar bears. It’s an ambitious undertaking but we need the help of the community but of course the BHP Enchanted Forest contributes to that.”
CEO of the City Hospital Foundation says every time the BHP Enchanted Forest lights up and people come through it helps fulfill their campaign projects. Steve Shannon says, “We are very, very grateful for everyone who drives through.”
You can buy car passes For BHP Enchanted Forest in advance at any Saskatoon Shoppers Drug Mart or any Saskatoon Co-op gas, food, pharmacy stores. It runs until January 4th featuring over 75 light displays, including a new Santa’s Runway themed display.
