Saskatoon Police have arrested a man and a woman after an early morning traffic stop led to the seizure of weapons and drugs.
At 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, patrol officers stopped a vehicle at Central Avenue and 116th Street East.
Officers say they could see a bag of fentanyl as they approached the vehicle. Further investigation of the vehicle located more fentanyl, cocaine, cash, digital scales, a can of bear spray and a baton.
In total, officers seized 40.6g of fentanyl and 9.75g of cocaine.
The 39-year-old male and 23-year-old female are both charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl and Cocaine. The man faces additional charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
