Because of weather-related flight cancellations in eastern Ontario and Quebec, the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Game at Merlis Belsher Place has been cancelled.
It was to be held tomorrow (Thurs) night with proceeds going to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Foundation President and CEO, Brynn Boback-Lane, apologizes for the inconvenience and says the foundation is grateful for the tremendous support Saskatchewan has shown for the children in hospital and their families.
Tickets were being sold through the website EventBrite, and all tickets will be refunded.
Some of the players set to play were Patrice Brisebois, Saskatchewan’s own Travis Moen and 5 time Stanley Cup winner, Steve Shutt as coach.
The Saskatoon fundraiser is one of 4 games across Saskatchewan that has been cancelled.
