A Regina man has been charged by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit with offences related to child exploitation.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit was contacted in June by the Ontario Provincial Police regarding a sextortion investigation involving a 15-year-old boy.

A male adult residing in Regina had posed as a teenage girl and convinced the victim to send a nude photo of himself. Once the suspect received the photo, he extorted the victim.

The file was transferred to Sask ICE and following a further investigation, 25-year-old Munachi Chizura Anuka was charged on January 13th with accessing child abuse and exploitation material as well as extortion.
