A woman in Saskatoon says she was bear sprayed and mugged by a man who she thought was going to purchase her old phone.

At 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to an apartment building parking lot in the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive. A 26-year-old woman reported that she was meeting a man who wanted to purchase her phone when he bear sprayed her, took her phone and fled. The two had discussed details on social media prior to the meeting, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s with braided hair. He was wearing a black sweater with white print and stained grey sweatpants.
