A month-long investigation into a break-and-enter at a business in Abbey has resulted in the arrest of an adult male.
A Saskatchewan RCMP news release says 42-year-old Cody Kemick of Tompkins appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court this past Friday after being arrested at a residence in Tompkins the day before. The investigation began back on January 6 when Leader RCMP received a report of the break-and-enter at a business in Abbey in the early morning hours. On February 5, officers executed a search warrant on the residence in Tompkins and arrested Kemick while also locating and seizing break-in tools, large amounts of illicit tobacco and a large sum of cash. The RCMP continue to ask anyone with information about the investigation, or who has had items stolen in Southern Saskatchewan, to report it by calling 310-RCMP or by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
