A 70 year old woman succumbed to her injuries on the scene of an accident this morning (Wed) in the Lawson Heights neighbourhood. Saskatoon Police say the accident involved a pedestrian and a recycling truck in a parking lot in the 200 block of Cree Place. Emergency crews were alerted around 10:15. The SPS Collision Analyst Unit is investigating.

The City of Saskatoon has released a statement saying thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time and adds that the recycling truck was from a private contractor for a non-City organization’s recycling contract.
