A large police presence in the 600 block of 33rd street Wednesday afternoon has resulted in a 30 year old man facing charges related to forcible confinement.
The call came in at 3 o’clock that a man was being held against his will. The Guns and Gangs Unit and the Tactical Support Unit responded. When they entered the home, there were a number of people inside. The victim escaped through a window. The 24 year old man, who was not injured, was taken to safety by TSU members.
A search warrant was executed and a taser that police allege was used on the victim was recovered at the scene. Police don’t believe it was a random incident.
A 30 year old man has been charged with Forcible Confinement, Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation.
