Playoff hockey, before the post-season starts, continues Tuesday night for the Saskatoon Blades in Moose Jaw.
If they’re intent on vacating fourth place in the East Division, the Bridge City can’t afford any losses between now and the end of the regular-season. That may be the sports version of melodramatic, but it is true. The Blue and Gold start the week four points behind third place Winnipeg and five back of second place Brandon. A second place finish means home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Saskatoon can help themselves out, big-time, in that pursuit when they visit the ICE Friday and travel to the Wheat Kings Saturday. Before that, the Blades have to extend their head-to-head winning streak against the Warriors to five games Tuesday night. The Bridge City Bunch have also won their last five visits to Mosaic Place. Plus, Moose Jaw is last in the East Division and are on a four-game losing streak. Game time is 7 o’clock with the broadcast on 98-COOL beginning at 6 with the Sardinia Family Restaurant pre-game show.
