Despite water levels on the Spruce River remaining high and fast-flowing, the City of Prince Albert says Little Red River Park will re-open Friday.
That includes services at the Cosmo Lodge/Knotty Pine Bistro. A news release from the City of Prince Albert says that all park users are urged to exercise extreme caution around the river and shoreline areas as spring runoff continues to impact water flow and riverbank stability. The Highway 55 entrance to Little Red River Park will open Friday, but the West Park Gate – or Pine Grove entrance – will remain closed as officials continue to monitor conditions throughout the park. Officials will continue to work with the Water Security Agency to provide up-to-date information on outflows from Anglin Lake and their impacts on Little Red River Park to help inform decisions on future park closures, should they be required.
