Prince Albert RCMP are continuing to investigate and are asking for the public’s help in relation to an attempted robbery on Sturgeon Lake First Nation back in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the report shortly after 3 a.m. on May 23 and were able to determine that three individuals were parked in a vehicle. An SUV pulled up and the occupants demanded the driver and passengers in the other vehicle get out. Those people drove away, and as they did, a firearm was discharged and struck their vehicle, injuring two of them. One was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening while the other was treated at the scene by EMS. The SUV fled the scene and is described as black or dark in colour and had a sticker, possibly white and blue, on the back window on the passenger side. The occupants are described as males, one of whom wore a mask. Anyone who has seen the SUV or has information about the incident is asked to report it to the Prince Albert RCMP or submit an anonymous tip to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
