Premier Scott Moe will spend the next 10 days in the European Union on a trade mission covering four countries—-Belgium, the Czech Republic, France and Poland.
Highlights include a major event for the defense sector in Paris that draws over 120,000 visitors. There will be opportunities to meet with contacts to support Saskatchewan suppliers and connect into international supply chains.
There will be discussions in all four countries focusing on Saskatchewan’s role in energy security, defense and trade.
Over the past five years, Saskatchewan exports to the European Union have gone from $1.6 billion in 2021 to $3.8 billion last year. Top exports include uranium, canola seed, potash and durum wheat.
