A 37-year-old inmate from the Regina Correctional Centre died Monday afternoon at the General Hospital in Regina.

The prisoner was found in his cell at approximately 4:30pm. He was transported to hospital where he died just before 6pm.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating. The Ministry of Community Safety will conduct an internal investigation.

No foul play is suspected.
