A man has been charged after White Butte RCMP seized illicit drugs, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia from him.
On June 24, around 3am, White Butte RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle with someone parked at a residence in St. Joseph’s.
The investigation determined that the driver had several outstanding warrants in Alberta and Manitoba. Officers also saw illicit drugs in the vehicle in plain view. The driver was arrested without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located and seized 55 grams of fentanyl, and 27 grams of methamphetamine. Cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and 6 grams of fentanyl were also seized during a search of the driver.
As a result of continued investigation, 44-year-old Harold Olson from Wapella has been charged with:
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5000
- two counts, possession – fentanyl
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
Olson was also arrested on warrants from Alberta RCMP for charges including fail to comply, and from Manitoba RCMP for charges including operation of a motor vehicle while impaired
Olson will appear in Regina Provincial Court on Friday.
