On Sunday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service dispatched officers to the 800 block of 13th Street West after receiving a weapons complaint.
Police located a 38-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries believed serious but not life threatening.
Officers identified a scene at a home in the 800 block of 12th Street West which was subsequently categorized as a critical incident with specialized resources were called to assist.
Everyone inside exited voluntarily, and a search warrant was executed, leading to the seizure of a firearm, ammunition and body armour. In total, four individuals were taken into custody.
A 25-year-old male has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon, careless storage of a firearm, breach of firearm prohibition court orders and several other breach of court ordered conditions.
A 20-year-old male has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon, careless storage of a firearm and breach of firearm prohibition court orders, and several outstanding warrants for firearms related offences.
