The Regina Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is operating with reduced hours again. Today it will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Regina Urgent Care Centre will return to its regular hours of operation of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. The SHA says service adjustments are due to physician availability.
The provincial government and Saskatchewan Health Authority have come under fire for not being able to adequately staff the only existing UCC in Regina, as evidenced by restricted hours it periodically experiences in addition to not ever having been able to be open 24/7 as was touted when being built.
There are several more slated to come on line with the Saskatoon Urgent Care Centre being built right now at the former Pleasant Hill School site at 215 Avenue S South, near St. Paul’s Hospital.
There are also centres in the works in Prince Albert, Moose Jaw and North Battleford.
