The University of Saskatchewan has announced new preventative measures in regards to COVID-19 that will be in effect immediately.

All USask Rec programming will be suspended until further notice as of Monday morning at 6 a.m.

Physical activity areas within the Physical Activity Complex, Education Building, Merlis Belsher Place and Griffiths Stadium will be closed at 6 a.m. Monday until further notice.

That includes the Fit Centre, gymnasiums, gymnastics room, pools, squash courts, training facilities, dance studio and change rooms.

The U of S is encouraging employees to work remotely if they’re able to.
