The coronavirus threat has prompted the board of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League to suspend team practices until March 31.
That includes the on-field operations of the defending champion Saskatoon Valkyries. The W-W-C-F-L made the move following a unanimous vote of their board on Sunday. But, the eight teams in the league are still planning on opening the regular-season on May 2…with work on a variety of contingency plans as well.
