If you combine the presumptive positive cases with the confirmed cases, Saskatchewan now has 16 cases of COVID 19.
Fifteen of the sixteen cases are well enough to self-isolate at home with one case in hospital for medical reasons not related to COVID-19.
Dr. Saqib Shahab, the province’s Chief Medical Health Officer, says one case they’ve investigated has not yet demonstrated a link to travel which could mean local or community transmission.
All persons returning from international destinations including the U.S., are required to self-isolate for 14 days upon returning to Canada.
As well, Public Health officials are asking anyone on two specific Sunwing flights to self isolate and actively monitor for symptoms.
