Saskatchewan Doctors are calling for Saskatchewan businesses to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
In an open letter, signed by doctors across the province, asking businesses to join in on battling the disease after the recent state of emergency in Saskatchewan. With businesses deemed high risk like gyms and casinos already being closed, the request was for other businesses to go even further by proactively closing or transforming their business in ways to eliminate person to person interaction. They asked business owners to allow employees to work at home when possible, waive sick notes and discourage non-essential movement within the community. The doctors are looking to the government of Saskatchewan and federal government to develop programs in support of businesses in what may be a long disruption.
The group of Saskatchewan doctors concluded by saying regardless of community response, they would continue to do everything possible to keep families in the province safe.
