All public Masses in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon are suspended until further notice.
Bishop Mark Hagemoen announced several restrictions in a letter to the faithful on March 17th.
All weekend and weekday Mass celebrations are cancelled in the Catholic diocese immediately until further notice. All the Catholic faithful have been granted dispensation from their Sunday obligation to celebrate Mass.
In respect to Holy Week liturgies leading up to Easter that there will be more information forthcoming.
All public gatherings such as Lenten parish missions as well as prayer services with confessions are cancelled. General parish gatherings are cancelled and only necessary activities for the care of the Church are allowed.
Baptism, confirmation, first communion are postponed as well as the celebration of initiation int o the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.
Sacramental Preparation Classes are cancelled.
Funerals will continue and public receptions after the funeral should not take place. Marriages should be postponed but if not possible then they have to follow the directives for group gatherings.
Marriage preparation courses have been cancelled.
