Saskatchewan has eight new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 52 reported cases in the province.

33 cases are confirmed and 19 are presumptive positive.

One of the new cases is a resident in their late teens while the rest are adults.

To date, 4,536 COVID-19 tests have been performed at the Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory.

The province’s Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab will speak to the new numbers during a news conference Monday afternoon in Regina.

As of Monday morning there are 1,470 cases of COVID-19 in Canada and 20 deaths from the virus. To give that some perspective, this time last week, there were 300 cases of COVID-19 in the country.
