The economy is taking a beating, but when the all-clear is given and people can start living a life of normalcy again that will change.
That is the opinion of U of R Economics professor Jason Childs who says a lot of that bounce-back will depend on you….
He says, if people are leery of going out and getting back to normal, it will be a slow recovery. But, if people get back into the swing of things once the all-clear is given, the recovery will be pretty quick.
Childs also reminds people that there is still a demand for our products and that has never changed. He expects a sharp decline in the provincial economy followed by a pretty sharp rebound. The question is will that rebound take us to where we were three months ago.
