The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations is launching a toll free information line for First Nations people looking for information about COVID-19.
FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron says this is not for legal or medical advice or for counseling, but the they can refer to services and resources regarding the novel coronavirus.
Cameron hopes this toll free line will help alleviate some of the strain on the provincial information lines.
It will also provide an opportunity for callers to ask questions, so the FSIN can find the biggest concerns and offer the most effective support.
Cameron says the toll free line will offer information in First Nation languages.
