The number of cases of COVID-19 in Canada has risen by 634 to stand at 4-thousand-43 cases with 39 deaths, as of Friday morning. In Saskatchewan, there are 9 new, confirmed cases of the virus bringing the total to 104.
The estimation in a report from the Parliamentary Budget Officer is that Canada will be dealing with COVID-19 for 6 months, while others have been estimating 4 months. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland says there is no way to predict how long we will be dealing with this. All this is known is that it is going to get worse before it gets better. Governments and health officials are preparing for the worst case scenario and Canadians can do their part by social distancing or being vigilant with social isolation, if needed.
