As the world changes with the global pandemic, some things remain the same.
Police are still responding to emergencies and the Regina Police Service is dealing with a high number of drug overdoses, some of them fatal.
There have been 7 drug-related deaths and 5 other fatalities are under investigation.
There have been 143 overdoses since the beginning of the year.
Police have their eye in particular on fentanyl and carfentanil, and their message is that anyone who is an active user of these drugs is in danger.
If someone is overdosing, you can call 911 for help and there will be no possession charges through the Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act.
