A window walk in support of World Autism Day will take place on Thursday.
People are invited to put a puzzle piece in their window for people in their neighbourhood to see.
Carol Tebay, Development Coordinator with Autism Services of Saskatoon says the puzzle piece can represent the mystery, range and unique qualities of Autism as well as a sense of being connected.
Tebay added the window walk will allow people to keep up with social distancing, and regular Autism awareness events in April, will be moved to Canada’s Awareness day in October.
Window walks have been popping up around the city for the last few weeks, where people post themed art in their windows, for passersby to see.
April 2nd is recognized by the United Nations as a day to raise awareness of Autism, and to gain acceptance in communities around the world.
