The work plan for the City so it can deliver core services continues to evolve as conditions change with COVID-19.
City Manager Jeff Jorgenson says one of the biggest challenges has been getting everything in place so employees can work from home and keeping those in the core services safe while they continue to work where they are needed.
They are also working on ways of moving projects around to possibly take advantage of things like a quieter downtown.
Jorgenson says there could be some work planned that wasn’t going to happen this year, like road paving or underground work.
Jorgenson has also had discussions with the contractor for the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge, with rehabilitation set to begin again this spring.
There may be some opportunities with the quieter traffic loads.
Redeployment of some of the civic staff is also being considered, because of closures of civic facilities.
