Around 9 o’olock on Tuesday night, patrol officers spotted a stolen minivan at 11th Street and Avenue K and the driver refused to pull over when police tried to stop the vehicle.
A stud belt was laid out and the vehicle was abandoned in the 100 block of Witney Avenue. A 24 year old woman and a 41 year old man were taken into custody nearby and will face a number of charges.
Around 1:43 a.m. Wednesday morning, patrol officers spotted a stolen truck and efforts to pull it over were unsuccessful so stop sticks were deployed and the driver fled the vehicle at Ross Crescent. A 40 year old man was arrested a short distance away. The vehicle was stolen from Alberta. Charges are pending.
Around 3 a.m. Wednesdya morning, officers spotted a stolen truck at 22nd Street and Avenue K North and when a traffic stop was attempted, the driver stopped the vehicle and took off on foot. The Air Support Unit and Canine Unit tracked a suspect and a made an arrest nearby. A 20 year old man is facing charges and suffered a dog bite.
