Vendasta Saskatoon has launched a Protect Local program to help local businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
The aim is to help companies perform remote and online business with software tools and online resources.
Jeff Tomlin Chief Marketing Officer with Vendasta says that a little over 40% of local businesses don’t have a website, and an even greater number of them aren’t using e-commerce.
Part of Vendasta’s resources will be a tool kit for e-commerce, including a no-cost online store, remote meeting solutions, products for communications and marketing, and booking and scheduling software.
Protect local will also include a way to conduct business remotely. Tomlin says they had to create the technology for their own 400 person staff and will pass that on to customers to allow their teams to work remotely.
Tomlin says the core mission of Vendasta is to help grow and drive local economies and this is a natural program for them to put out to help during the pandemic.
Vendasta provides digital solutions to over 3.5 million local businesses worldwide.
Vendasta will continue to update the Protect Local page as new training, resources and platform functionalities become available.
