The Canada Border Services Agency is reminding everyone that travel restrictions are still in place at international border crossing as we head into the Easter and Passover long weekend.
The restrictions were put in place March 21st by both the Governments of Canada and the United States.
Cross-border tourism-recreation visits are not permitted.
That includes visiting family on the other side of the border, going to a celebration, going to a restaurant for take-out, taking a shortcut through one country or the other to get to a destination faster, fishing or hunting, or even opening or checking on a cottage or cabin.
And if you are a Canadian who does any of those things, you will have to self-isolate for 14 days when you return.
