The province says it will make up to $1.5 million in emergency financial aid available to at-risk post-secondary students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The money is intended for students with limited financial resources and supports, whose studies and employment have been disrupted. The amount received will depend on each student’s circumstances. The money will be available to both domestic and international students in need. The emergency bursaries will be available from April 1st to September 30th. Within the next week to ten days, eligibility requirements and application details will be made available to students through their post-secondary education institutions.
