A man charged with manslaughter in Saskatoon’s 12th homicide of 2019 has been sentenced to 5 years in jail.
On July 27th last year, 49 year old Tun Win admitted himself to the hospital, suffering from life threatening injuries.
Police were told he had been assaulted at a home in the 600 block of 28th Street West.
A 31 year old man, Corey Kittiekaywinnie was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault.
Tun Win passed away on September 13th and Kittiekaywinnie’s charge became manslaughter.
Kittiekaywinnie was also sentenced to a 10 year firearms probation and he had to submit his DNA.
