There are now 26,631 COVID-19 cases in Canada, and 823 deaths. Chief Public Health Officer Dr.Theresa Tam says there’s been another 10% increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Canada. She says, for the lab testing, they have completed tests for over 450 thousand people. We are now at close to six per cent confirmed as positive.
Tam says children may be suffering emotionally through the crisis. She says silence and secrets do not protect children.
She says honesty and openness do.
Federal health officials have been asked how much faith Canadians should have in the World Health Organization when it comes to the U.N body’s COVID-19 reporting and response.
Health minister Patty Hajdu answered by saying the WHO is not a stand-alone organization without multiple sources of research.
